Beautiful Scenery, Essential Habitat, Critical Watersource
Whether you are an avid hiker or someone who enjoys gazing at natural beauty, the
lush landscapes created by the Salmon Brook and its tributaries offer a great inspiration to us all. In fact, the Salmon Brook Watershed includes some of the pristine water habitats in Connecicut. These waterways provide a home to a wide diversity of creatures and plants, including many native species. During a recent field survey, biologists and volunteers discovered the Slimy Sculpin, a rare native fish that is intolerant to water pollution. |
